Nene Royal
Rock Artist • Guitarist • Songwriter
Nene Royal is a Thai guitarist and vocalist from Phuket who made history as the first Thai artist to win America’s Got Talent, taking the Season 21 title in 2026. Known for her electrifying guitar solos, powerful vocals, and infectious energy onstage, she has brought her passion for rock music to audiences around the world.
Largely self-taught, Nene picked up the guitar at seven years old, learning primarily by ear through online videos. She developed her craft performing at local markets in Phuket, where her expressive playing and fearless performances began reaching audiences far beyond her hometown.
On America’s Got Talent, Nene became known for her distinctive interpretations of songs by The Cranberries, Muse, Soundgarden, and The White Stripes. After receiving Mel B’s Golden Buzzer during the live quarterfinals, she advanced through the competition and ultimately won the Season 21 title. During the live finale, Nene joined Linkin Park to perform “The Emptiness Machine,” sharing guitar and vocal duties with one of the world’s biggest rock bands. She also performed “Kerosene” with The Warning in a special filmed segment for the show—two memorable collaborations that marked an extraordinary new chapter in her journey.
Now focused on developing original music, Nene is building the next chapter of her career as a recording artist, bringing together her expressive guitar playing, powerful voice, and emerging songwriting. From the markets of Phuket to the international stage, her music carries the same joy, determination, and love of rock that first inspired her to pick up a guitar.
